Sink or Ship: Students pitch big in Ship Tank

SU students take home cash prizes after pitching their business ideas to a panel of judges, “Shark Tank” style.  The Charles H. Diller Jr. Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation hosted Ship Tank, on April 10. This was an event meant to “provide Shippensburg students with a chance to explore their entrepreneurial interest in an environment where they can learn, grow, and earn some cash,” according to the Diller Center.

Erica Galioto: ‘It is alive and well’

“I try to take students from where they are to somewhere else, and to me, that is also like therapy,” said Erica Galioto.  Galioto, a Shippensburg University English professor, is a believer of allowing, and guiding, students to reach their fullest potential. To get them to that potential, she is adamant in teaching a variety of topics that range from connectivity and diversity to testimonial experience.

SU Greek Week ends in annual lip sync

Shippensburg University hosted its annual Greek Lip Sync at Memorial Auditorium in celebration of the end of Greek Week. Throughout the week, each Greek organization competed in various games against one another. These games included volleyball, Greek trivia, kickball, basketball and more. When a team won an event, they earned points on a leaderboard.

PAGE Center’s ‘Who’s Afraid of Vagina Woolf’ Trivia Event Sees Massive Turnout

The Shippensburg University’s Women and Gender Studies Department hosted its third annual “Who’s Afraid of Vagina Woolf: A Healthy Body Trivia,” on March 24 in CUB119. The event aimed to raise awareness and rid long-standing misconceptions about the female body, emphasizing the importance of women gaining accurate knowledge about their health and anatomy, while not being afraid to speak about it.
