About

The Slate is a volunteer, student-run organization founded in 1957. We provide instant information to Shippensburg University students, faculty and staff on campus, as well as alumni and parents of students across the nation. Our newspaper prints 12 times a semester, totally 24 times a year (almost every Tuesday) and primarily covers campus news and events while also reporting on items of interest to the local communities.

Theslateonline.com is Shippensburg University's online edition of its student-run newspaper. We update the website with every print issue we write, making our articles accessible on multiple devices.

We would love to hear from you! If you have a story idea or suggestion, feel free to contact us at slate.ship@gmail.com. Additionally, you can reach out to us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay on top of content.

The Slate welcomes letters to the editor regarding all inquiries and concerns from the community. Please limit letters to 350 words. All submissions are subject to editing and may be published in print or online. No anonymous letters will be printed. You may email letters to slate.ship@gmail.com.
