Football fights hard in season opening loss
Shippensburg University’s football team fell to 0-1 on the season after a home loss to Bowie State on Saturday. The Raiders kept it close throughout the first half, only down six at the break, but fell 23-7 in the end.
SU Athletics unveils new primary logo
The Shippensburg University Athletic Department unveiled a new athletics logo on Wednesday that will replace the icon Raider Ship logo. The former logo will continue to be the primary mark for the university.

Shippensburg University graduate starting pitcher Jaxon Dalena was selected by the San Diego Padres with the 190th overall selection in the 2025 MLB Draft on Monday afternoon. After two years of anchoring the Raiders’ starting rotation, Dalena will now have a chance to go pro.
SU softball going to Division II Women’s College World Series after sweep of Kutztown
Continuing their dream postseason run, Shippensburg University softball swept a best-of-three series over Kutztown this past weekend to advance to the Division II Women’s College World Series. The Raiders defeated the Golden Bears 7-2 on Thursday before a 4-0 victory on Saturday, continuing their deepest NCAA tournament run since 2004.
Men’s track and field wins four conference titles, finishes second in PSAC
Shippensburg University’s men’s track-and-field team scored 148 points to finish second in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships this past weekend at Slippery Rock University. The team won four events and had 12 top-three finishes, earning All-PSAC honors.
Lewis breaks school record again, track and field shines at home
In their largest home meet of the season, Shippensburg University’s track and field teams shined in the Paul Kaiser Classic this past weekend. The men’s and women’s teams combined to win 15 events in the meet, with four athletes provisionally qualifying for the NCAA Division II championships.
Baseball takes two wins in a difficult four-game set
Shippensburg University men’s baseball finished 2-2 over four games this weekend against Mansfield. The series began on Friday, April 18. The Raiders are now 22-18 on the season and 9-11 in conference play.
