LSO cooks up a fun night for students
Shippensburg University’s Latino Student Organization (LSO) held their annual cookout on Sept. 12 at the McCune Pavilion. LSO members were joined by the student body to celebrate a night of food, dancing, and culture.
APB hosts campus Game Show night
The CUB MPR was packed on Saturday for Game Show Night presented by the Activities Programming Board (APB). Snacks and refreshments were provided, along with several door prizes for participants. Students had the opportunity to play classic Game Shows like “Jeopardy!”, “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”, and “Name That Tune.” However, due to time constraints, organizers skipped “Family Feud” and raffled off the remaining prizes instead.

Shippensburg University Acting Group (SUAG) brought “Murder on the Orient Express!” to campus last week with four showings. Memorial Auditorium was buzzing on Saturday, April 19, for the play adapted from Agatha Christie’s murder mystery novel.

Shippensburg University kicked off Diversity Week on Monday through an evening of storytelling and poetry with “The Trouble with My Name” with Javier Ávila, a Puerto Rican author, poet and English professor. Ávila’s talk with students focused on his journey navigating race, cultural identity and trouble with speaking another language in America.
