SU’s new art club combines creativity and philanthropy

Within the doors of Huber Art Center, a new club gathers every week to create masterpieces and charitable donations.  Shippensburg University’s Art Club officially started this semester, with a mission to get artistic people together.

The Carnival of Consent: a fun way to teach Sex Ed

Shippensburg University’s Women and Gender Studies Program hosted the second annual Sex Ed Carnival of Consent on Thursday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. in the CUB Multipurpose Room.  The event featured classic carnival games with a twist, with the games being focused on educating attendees on healthy relationships, sex and consent. Different departments and organizations hosted the games. Winning the game would give the student a raffle ticket, which could be used for one of the many prizes. 


Celebrating self-love with Love Your Body Day

Love Your Body Day was a celebration of body positivity for the Shippensburg University community on Monday at 4 p.m. in the CUB Multipurpose Room.  The annual event is hosted by both the Pride and Gender Equity (PAGE) Center and the Women’s and Gender Studies program. It promotes self-love while giving various campus groups a chance to promote themselves. 


APB hosts glow-in-the-dark bingo to celebrate Family Day

SU students brought their friends and families to play bingo in celebration of Family Day on Sept. 26 at p.m. The CUB MPR was filled with neon lights, glow-in-the-dark accessories and the squeaks of dry erase markers as students and families attended the Activities Programming Board’s (APB) annual Family Weekend Bingo.
