As the weather gets colder and the leaves begin to change color, the season of pumpkin spice everything is upon us. Soon you will see the flavor in everything from lattes to cookies. When you need a fix of pumpkin spice but can’t be bothered to go to the store, this delicious and easy to make pumpkin spice treat is here for you. 

Ingredients 

4 tablespoons all purpose flour 

2 tablespoons white granulated sugar 

1 teaspoon baking powder 

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice blend 

1 pinch of salt 

2 tablespoons pumpkin puree 

½ teaspoon vanilla extract 

3 tablespoons milk 

Optional: chocolate chips

Instructions 

1. Mix all dry ingredients together in a microwave-wave safe mug 

2. Add the milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla, and chocolate chips if you’re using them

3. Mix everything together until well combined

4. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. 

This is the perfect thing to make whenever you need a dorm-friendly dose of fall coziness. Whether it is after a long day of walking in the cold or you’re just craving a sweet treat, this pumpkin spice mug cake is here for you.
