Shippensburg University’s Old Main Chapel was filled to near capacity as students and members of the community gathered to celebrate the beginning of Women’s History Month and listen to guest speaker Army Maj. Lisa Jaster on Thursday.
An earthquake felt in the Shippensburg area that occurred Tuesday around 7 p.m. was originally believed to have a 1.5 magnitude with an epicenter north of Roxbury Road, however, recent reports by the Lahmont-Doherty Earth Observatory show a 1.09 magnitude with an epicenter located near Rowe Run Road.
With midterms quickly approaching, Shippensburg University’s Ezra Lehman Memorial Library is busier than ever. From students studying to hanging out, the library is busy almost all hours of the day — and in the future — it could be busy 24 hours a day.
