The CMPDC holds fall job and internship fair

The Career, Mentoring, and Professional Development Center held the Fall Job and Internship Fair at the ShipRec on Friday afternoon. Over 120 employers were in attendance to look for potential employees. There were job opportunities for various majors, ranging from law enforcement to health care. There were even options for students to continue their education at grad school. There was an opportunity for every student, no matter their career goals.

‘How to Find a DEI Employer:’ a lecture on diversity and inclusion in the workplace

Diversity Week and the Career Center had a collaboration last Wednesday that involved a speaker session on “How to find a DEI employer.” Manuel Ruiz, the assistant vice president for Inclusion & Belonging, and Jessica Henning, director of Selection and Development at Northwestern Mutual, lead the conversation.

The man, the myth, the legend: GrittyFan69, Nathan Harding

Reisner Dining Hall at Shippensburg University allows students to choose the music playing as they eat. All they have to do is install the Rockbot app on their phone and request the song. Students can become a higher-level DJ on the app by suggesting more songs that please the masses on the app. While there are many notable student DJs on SU’s campus, such as “JohnMayerEnjoyer” and “mamaslilboy,” there is one that stands out in the list of DJs — GrittyFan69.

SU holds the fall SIS fair

 Shippensburg University hosted its bi-yearly Student Involvement and Services (SIS) Fair on Friday afternoon after classes. The event drew a large crowd of interested students from a variety of backgrounds, from traditional to non-traditional, first-year students to graduate students.
