The Shippensburg University women’s basketball team picked up a critical 89-82 win on the road against Seton Hill University on Sunday afternoon. The win moved the team into a three-way tie for first place in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division.

The crowd sighed in exhaustion as Marauders junior goalkeeper Autumn Peters denied Raiders sophomore Valen Alonso’s shot, much to the delight of the strong Millersville crowd that made the trip to Robb Sports Complex at Shippensburg University.
Jazmin Petrantonio’s field hockey journey began when she was only five years old. Living in Argentina, she grew up in a family that has a heavy background in sports. Her dad, a former basketball player, is a basketball coach. Her older sister played sports and Petrantonio often followed her to practices to soak in the atmosphere.
The Shippensburg University women’s basketball team has had two straight losing seasons led by a young core. But with more experience and some new faces in the fold, the Raiders are looking to return to their winning ways.
