Track and field wins six events, sets multiple season bests

Shippensburg University’s indoor track and field teams competed at the Bison Open & Multi at Bucknell University this past weekend, with the athletes winning six events and earning 24 qualifiers for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championships.

Women’s basketball wins at home, splits week

Shippensburg University’s women’s basketball team went 1-1 this past week, beating Shepherd 74-67 at home on Wednesday before losing at Bloomsburg 77-60 on Saturday. The results moved the Raiders to 8-12 overall and 5-9 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play.

Men´s cross country qualifies for NCAAs - Quinan, men finish second, women place 5th at Regionals

Garrett Quinan led the Shippensburg University men’s cross country team with another outstanding performance to a second-place team finish at the 2024 NCAA Atlantic Region Championships at Lock Haven on Nov. 9. The result booked the men’s ticket to the NCAA DII National Championships in Sacramento, California. The women’s cross country team finished in fifth place, just missing the ticket to the National Championships by two places.

Field hockey shines late to win PSACs, moves to NCAA semifinals

Shippensburg University’s No. 1 nationally ranked field hockey team prevailed in postseason play the past two weeks, defeating Bloomsburg in Nov. 8’s Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) semifinal 2-1 in overtime, before picking up a 1-0 overtime win against East Stroudsburg on Nov. 10 to win the PSAC championship. They then beat Limestone 3-2 on Saturday to earn a spot in the NCAA semifinals.
