Field hockey has sights set on a repeat

As a new season approaches the Shippensburg University field hockey team, so does the hope of a repeat. In the 2012 season the Raiders posted a stellar record of 17–3, their best since 2010 when they went 21–2.

Raiders swing big at home

The Shippensburg University baseball team kept its hot streak alive after a compelling 7–3 victory over Lock Haven University on Tuesday afternoon at Fairchild Field. Lock Haven got on the board in the top of the first inning when Scott Zuback drove in Jay Hartman on a fielder’s choice ground out.

Marcinko makes waves at SU

Arguably, the best defensive player on the field is the shortstop. In order to play the shortstop position effectively, one must display a wide array of athleticism that will enable one to cover a vast amount of ground — one must also have a strong arm and good hands for fielding.
