SU student researches cell phone service in Shippensburg

Will Davis, a student in Shippensburg University’s geography-earth science department has attempted to find an answer to the age-old debate on who provides better cell phone service by using modern technology. Most students at SU use smartphones for entertainment and school work.

Arrest made in shooting

Shippensburg University students received an SU Alert via email saying State Police have made an arrest in the shooting that occurred Saturday Dec.

Man injured in Saturday shooting

A 20-year-old man was shot around 1 a.m. Saturday in Sunbeam Court near the Shippensburg University campus. The shooting took place Saturday morning after a group approached a house wanting to start a fight with someone they believed to be inside according to both CBS 21 and FOX 43.

UPDATE: Around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, students received a third SU Alert giving them the OK to go back to their normal routines.

Local Sheetz Locations Out of Gas

Hurricane Sandy is still wreaking havoc on Central Pennsylvania. While it has been three weeks since the hurricane made landfall, bringing heavy rain and wind to much of the Mid-Atlantic and New England areas, the effects that it had on gasoline production are now being felt.

South Mountain Speakers discuss water protection

On Thursday, Nov. 8, Patrick Bowling, source water protection coordinator at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection spoke to about 120 people at SU’s Memorial Auditorium. His lecture was part of the South Mountain Speakers series.
