One win, one loss for women’s basketball

 The Shippensburg University women’s basketball team posted one win and one loss this week. The Raiders played their first game of the week away at Millersville on Wednesday evening and fell short of the Marauders, 57-53. The second game of the week was a home game in Heiges Field House Saturday afternoon where the Raiders beat Kutztown, 66-57. 


Two-Win Week for Men’s Basketball

 Shippensburg University’s men’s basketball team put up its first two wins of 2024 this past week in Heiges Field House after losing nine consecutive games.  


Another Tough Week for Women’s Basketball

  It was a tough stretch last week as Shippensburg University women’s basketball lost two games by decisive scores — first to Jefferson College 84-49 and then to Holy Family 65-49. 


Women’s basketball looking to make adjustments for the upcoming weeks

 Shippensburg University women’s basketball fell short in their first two games of the season this weekend as they hosted the 2023 Conference Challenge at Heiges Field House. The Raiders played their first game of the season Friday afternoon against Fayetteville State and lost 68-62 in a close game. The Raiders played their second game Saturday night against Bowie State, where Shippensburg lost 61-52.


Field hockey falls short in PSAC finals after winning against Kutztown, 1-0

  Shippensburg University’s field hockey team fell short, 2-1, against East Stroudsburg in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship game at East Stroudsburg on Sunday afternoon. In the PSAC semifinals, the Raiders won 1-0 in overtime against Kutztown at East Stroudsburg on Friday afternoon to advance to the PSAC final.


Field hockey clinches two home wins

 The No. 2-ranked Shippensburg University field hockey team clinched two home Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) wins this week. The first win came from No. 4-ranked West Chester University on Wednesday afternoon with the Raiders winning the game 3-2 and the second win came from No. 7-ranked Mansfield University on Saturday afternoon with the Raiders winning the game again, 3-2.
