Student organizations welcomed students at the Campus Activities Fair (formally the SIS Fair) this past Thursday, August 31. In your lifetime, there will be people who help shape you into the person you become. For me, it was my Aunt Jill. Shippensburg University has brought the “Traveling While Black” exhibit to campus. The exhibit started April 10 and will run until May 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is hosted in the CUB and is nostalgic of ’60s-era diners. The exhibit is guided by virtual reality headsets along with a guide who talks about the experience and leads a discussion after the experience.

Shippensburg University’s annual Wellness Fair was held Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the CUB MPR. The fair was made up of various organizations that came to advertise the services they provide to the campus community. Some exhibitors were on-campus organizations that students can join like the Health and Wellness Center. Other exhibitors included UPMC, WellSpan, Highmark and Planet Fitness, as well as many others.
