An on-campus incident involving several individuals with no alleged affiliations to Shippensburg University prompted a heavy police response around McLean Hall Sunday night.

In an email sent to the campus community at 9:49 p.m. Sunday, the university said “This is an ongoing investigation, and more information may be released when the investigation is complete.”

There are still many questions surrounding what exactly took place, but two individuals were transported from outside of McLean onto stretchers and taken off campus according to eyewitnesses.

The extent to which pepper spray was used is unknown, but it was released and injured at least one SU student, said first-year students to members of The Slate.
