As students filled Gilbert Hall, the sounds of Latin music filled the air. Event organizer Rosalynne Heidler bustled around with many other organizers, making sure everything was perfect for a night full of fun, friendship and dancing.

On March 5, 1982, the Soviet Union successfully landed the Venera 14 probe on the surface of Venus after a carefully routed seven-month flight. The Venera program was made to learn more about Venus’s atmosphere and surface.
Shippensburg University students met at Memorial Auditorium on Feb. 28 to give tribute to Black artists and culture through dance and lip-sync performances in front of a panel of four faculty judges. Two SU students, Tymere Harris and Amaya Lawson, hosted the event.
