WSYC’s annual Up All Night celebration and prize giveaway is fast approaching.

Up All Night is a 24-hour radio show that features WSYC’s DJs playing special shows and giving out prizes on the hour. DJs will be spinning their favorite tracks, sharing stories and chatting the night away. This year’s Up All Night will be on the air from Saturday, April 15, at 9 a.m. to Sunday, April 16, at 9 a.m.

“Up All Night has been a staple of WSYC 88.7 for the last ten years. WSYC, meaning ‘We Serve Your Community,’ uses this event as a chance to give back to our loyal listeners and interact with the community. We are beyond excited to celebrate Up All Night’s 10th anniversary with spectacular prizes and 24 hours of radio entertainment,” Paige Shope, public relations director for WSYC, said.

As it is the 10th anniversary of Up All Night, the executive board has put together a special prize list, featuring Big Time Rush tickets, Sabrina Carpenter tickets, a Crosley record player, multiple vinyls – including Taylor Swift, Pink Floyd and the 1975 – and many, many more.

Shope is a part of ‘Monday Mix’ with show partner Carlos Mora-Fallas. They will be DJing Up All Night from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on April 15.

“I am thrilled to be a part of Up All Night’s 10th anniversary! It’s an awesome opportunity for all members of WSYC to come together and do what we love by playing music we love. There are so many amazing giveaways planned this year and we are all excited for the chance to give back to our listeners,” DJ Madi Shively said.

Shively hosts ‘Mirrorball Radio’ with show partners Grace Harbour and Caitlyn Shetter. Mirrorball will be DJing from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on April 15 and midnight to 1 a.m. on April 16.

Up All Night serves as an opportunity for DJs in the organization to connect with campus listeners directly over the phone. To win a prize, all a listener has to do is call in at the appropriate time. The WSYC phone number will be given out on the air.

General manager Emma Halsey has been working with her team to make this year’s Up All Night special for its 10th anniversary.

“I am so excited to see what the DJs have in store for Up All Night this year! We already have more participation than last year,” Halsey said. “This isn’t just an event for the campus, but for us too! It's a great way for us to hang out and have fun.”

Halsey hosts ‘True Crime Tuesdays’ and will be DJing Up All Night from 4 a.m. to 5 a.m. on April 16.

Other members of the executive board also expressed their excitement for this event.

“Up All Night is my favorite WSYC event of the year, especially because all the DJs get together to work on this huge radio show with each other. With this being my third one, I was excited to be able to plan the prize list and the schedule for the event.” Henry Mooney, the program director for WSYC, said.

Mooney hosts ‘Good Songs for Hard Times’ and will be DJing from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m on April 15.

“Up All Night is no small undertaking, so please tune in to support our DJs and have the chance to win a prize while you’re at it,” DJ Jenna Cornell noted.

Members of WSYC are not only excited, but working to make their shows the best that they can be for the event. Cornell is scheduled to DJ from 11 p.m. to midnight on April 15 with her ‘Tea Time’ show partner Allyson Ritchey.

To listen to WSYC, download the WYSC app or tune in on the station’s website at http://wsyc-fm.squarespace.com. Up All Night will be on the air from April 15 to April 16, but other shows run daily until 9 p.m. For the full show schedule, check out WSYC’s website.
