St. Patrick’s Day is March 17 and you are probably still figuring out how to ring in the holiday without breaking COVID-19 coronavirus social regulations. You might not be able to drink with friends at house parties or go to Indiana University of Pennsylvania for IUPatty’s but you can celebrate in safe ways. Here a few ways to celebrate the Irish holiday during this new normal.

Have a virtual St. Patrick's Day party

Send out a Zoom link to all your friends and family members and make sure to decorate your room or living room with four-leaf clovers and other green backdrops to get you in the party mood. Entertain your virtual guests with drinking games and other St. Patrick’s Day-themed activities.

Drink with your roommates

If you are 21+  get to know your roommates and share a pint with them. You can not avoid them so you might as well drink with them.

Find out if you have Irish heritage

Right now DNA kit companies like Ancestry.com are having a 50 % sale in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Find out your family heritage and who knows, you might have a little bit of Irish blood in you.

Watch St. Patrick’s Day movies

Stream movies like “The Luck of the Irish” on Disney+ or “Leap Year” on Amazon Prime and other Irish-related movies during the holiday.
