Man attempts to steal state police vehicle

Pennsylvania State Police spotted a man attempting to gain entry to a state police vehicle at around 1:30 a.m. on Richard Avenue on Sept. 2.

Police said they went into a foot pursuit but the man evaded capture.

Another individual, who was later identified as Juet Duckworth, was found 20 minutes later, and ran when troopers attempted to make contact with him. Troopers eventually were able to capture him and take him into custody.

Duckworth was determined to be with the unidentified suspect. He also had a small amount of THC edibles, according to police

The investigation is continuing.
