'Fuller House' controversy

Netflix released a spin-off of the hit '90s series “Full House.” The new show, “Fuller House,” has been true to the original form: A widowed parent, a wacky best friend, an aunt, four kids and a dog all under one roof, yet the show has managed to spark a controversy for parents who believe the show is too “adult-like” for their younger children.

The show has many inappropriate jokes and it does not stop there. In the first episode, Kimmy Gibbler makes a reference to dropping acid and there is a list of sexual references in the following episodes. Many parents are outraged that the show has gone from being family-friendly to focusing on a different audience.

Although in today’s world, recreating the typical “full house” would be boring, not only to the adults, but to the children, as well. The show is more realistic to the way today’s world is. It shows how stressful it is to be a parent and the regular worries of teenagers. Not only that, it shows the real struggles of a middle-class woman who is trying to make it on her own.

“Fuller House” is family oriented to today’s culture, not to the culture of the '90s. The show focuses on real problems of society and does not hide the way the world really is.
