After finishing ninth in the Super Region I Championships the last two seasons, SU sat in seventh place in the championships entering Friday’s matches, and it looked to climb the rankings as the weekend progressed. The Raiders improved their rankings throughout the weekend ultimately finishing in sixth place in the Super Region I’s. Throckmorton was the only SU wrestler to finish the day undefeated.
Shawna and Dana Wert proved to be unstoppable while freshman sensation Stephanie Knauer tallied 15 points as the Raiders surpassed the Cheyney University Wolves 80–62 on Saturday afternoon at Heiges Field House.
