When the preseason schedule starts on Oct. 15 for the Shippensburg University men’s basketball team it is all business. The squad, composed of 14 players from Pennsylvania and Maryland, know that once the middle of October hits the season is right around the corner.

Wrestling falls to Messiah’s decorated DIII team

On Friday, Dec. 11, the Shippensburg University wrestling team traveled to Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania to take on the seventh ranked Division III powerhouse, Messiah College. The short 33-mile trek down the road led to another tough loss for the Red Raiders.

SU women’s basketball downs West Chester

The Shippensburg University women’s basketball team sunk a ton of three pointers en route to an 85-72 victory over PSAC Eastern division preseason favorite West Chester University. The Raiders shot a remarkable 52 percent from deep in the contest.

West Chester topples SU men’s basketball, 83-68

On Tuesday, Dec. 1 the Shippensburg University Raiders men’s basketball team hosted Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) foe West Chester University, with their eyes set on knocking the Golden Rams from the ranks of the unbeaten.

Taylor Gottshall: Blocking her way into the record books

In the beginning, volleyball was simply a way to make new friends after Taylor Gottshall moved to a new school. At the time, she had no idea that it would help her makes countless friends, help her get into college and etch her name in the Shippensburg University record books.

SU swim teams make big splash at Patriot Invitational

The men’s and women’s swim teams were on the road last weekend as they traveled to George Mason University to compete in the Patriot Invitational. SU swimming had strong showings throughout the weekend; wrapping up the invitational with multiple top-10 finishes in individual and relay events.
