Ramos continues his dominance on the mat

From New Jersey to Pennsylvania, Evan Ramos has always had wrestling in his life. Beginning his journey of wrestling at 7 years old, Ramos immediately fell in love with the sport, which led to where he is today as Shippensburg University’s 197-pounder.

Women’s indoor track & field ends six-week layoff at Gulden Invitational

The Shippensburg University women’s indoor track & field team competed for the first time in six weeks on Saturday at Lewisburg, finishing third overall in Bucknell University’s Gulden Invitational held inside Gerhard Field House. Shippensburg finished the day with 28 performances that satisfied the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying standards, as the Raiders put forth a bevy of quality efforts despite the long layoff. Junior Sarah Hunt (Fairfield, Pennsylvania/Fairfield Area) had an incredibly well-rounded day for the Raiders.

Men’s indoor track & field goes toe-to-toe with Bucknell at Gulden Invitational

The Shippensburg University men’s indoor track & field team had its first competition in six weeks on Saturday in Lewisburg, traveling to Bucknell University and finishing second to the host Bison in the Gulden Invitational held inside Gerhard Field House. Shippensburg brought its full arsenal and finished just six points behind Bucknell, 82-76, with Duquesne (38 points) in third. The meet was originally to feature nine teams in competition, but the inclement weather forced East Stroudsburg, Mount St.

Super Bowl 50 stage is set

With Sunday’s playoff games in the books, the stage for Super Bowl 50 is set. The Super Bowl will feature the AFC Champion Denver Broncos, and the NFC Champion Carolina Panthers. The Denver Broncos amassed a 12-4 record throughout the duration of the season, which ended with them clinching the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Flipping through the channels on your television and catching a Chicago Blackhawks game in late June has certainly become nothing out of the ordinary in the past six years. Since 2010, the Blackhawks have appeared in the Stanley Cup Finals three times and have claimed all three titles.

Wrestling falls to Messiah’s decorated DIII team

On Friday, Dec. 11, the Shippensburg University wrestling team traveled to Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania to take on the seventh ranked Division III powerhouse, Messiah College. The short 33-mile trek down the road led to another tough loss for the Red Raiders.
