The Shippensburg University swimming team headed to Ithaca College this weekend for the sixth annual Bomber Invitational. Overall, it was a great weekend for the Raiders that included multiple personal bests, as well as strong team finishes.

Raiders upend Crimson Hawks, 87–80

Before Saturday’s contest against No. 12 Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), Shippensburg University coach Chris Fite was challenged to improve the team to 6–0 — a feat that no prior men’s basketball team at SU has ever accomplished.

The Shippensburg University women’s basketball team split its set of weekend games at Heiges Field House, bullying Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponent Slippery Rock University on Saturday, and then losing to PSAC adversary Edinboro University in a tight game on Sunday.

2016 field hockey team leaves a legacy

The 2016 Shippensburg University field hockey team ended its season on Sunday with the highest honor — a national championship. With the win, SU claimed its second championship in three years.

SU field hockey claims national title

Legacies are best left told not by those who achieved, but by those who witness something special unfold. Shippensburg University's field hockey team cemented that legacy Sunday, defeating Long Island University Post, 2–1, to become NCAA Division II National Champions once again.
