SU men’s basketball falls in PSAC Championship, still receives bid in NCAA tournament

The Shippensburg University men’s basketball team, after losing in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship game to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) on Sunday, are in the NCAA Division II men’s basketball tournament.  The NCAA awarded an at-large bid to the Raiders (24-7, 18-4 PSAC), the No. 4 seed in the Atlantic Region of the tournament. SU will face No. 5-seed Fairmont State in the First Round on Friday in Indiana, Pennsylvania. 


Women’s basketball loses to Gannon in PSAC Semifinals

The Shippensburg University women’s basketball team’s conference tournament run ended on Saturday with a 74-58 loss to Gannon University in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Semifinals at IUP’s Kovalchick Complex. Despite winning the PSAC Eastern Division, their early exit in the tournament puts them at a major risk of missing out on an at-large bid into the NCAA Division II tournament.


Men’s basketball advances to PSAC Championship for first time since 2016-17

The Shippensburg University men’s basketball team is advancing to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship game for the first time since the 2016-17 season. The Raiders (24-6, 18-4 PSAC) defeated Mercyhurst University in a defensive battle, 59-51, in the PSAC Semifinals on Saturday at Heiges Field House. 


Women’s basketball secures first-round bye in PSAC Tournament

The Shippensburg University women’s basketball team used a balanced scoring effort to defeat Bloomsburg University, 73-64, on Saturday afternoon at Nelson Field House. Shippensburg also clinched a first-round bye in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament due to East Stroudsburg’s win over Shepherd. 


Women’s basketball locks up home game in PSAC tournament

The Shippensburg University women’s basketball team clinched a home game in the first round of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) tournament after a pair of tight wins over Millersville and Lock Haven Universities last week.
