Students rally at capital

Students from Shippensburg University and the other 13 Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) universities traveled to the Capitol building in Harrisburg on Thursday for the annual advocacy event at which students urge lawmakers to fund state schools.

Tanner O. Kaurudar, 21, of Kieffer Hall, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in connection with an incident that occurred on Jan. 29.

Changes made to dining services

Shippensburg University’s dining services have undergone a variety of changes during the 2017–18 school year, including the implementation of new programs and the closing of “Chop N Wrap,” previously known as “Chickendipity.”

Lectures to discuss science and religion, civil rights

Eric Rothschild, senior litigation counsel at Americans United for Separation of Church and States will be discussing the topic of science and religion at his lecture “The Biology Class You Wish You Could Have Taken: Evolution and Creationism of Trial in Dover, Pennsylvania.”
