The “Vampire Diaries” had a good run, seasons one through four, but things fell flat for its fifth season — likely due to series creator, Julie Plec, starting a spinoff, “The Originals,” based on characters from the CW hit. However, things had picked up for season six which aired Oct. 2, featuring exciting storylines that make you want to tune in each week.

In the dark-fantasy, crime thriller, Radcliffe plays Ignatius ‘Ig’ Perrish who is under investigation for the rape and murder of his longtime girlfriend, Merrin (played by Juno Temple). Everyone in their town believes he is guilty with the xception of his best friend and lawyer, Lee (played by Max Minghella). Ig wakes up one morning with strange horns protruding from his forehead and he soon discovers the horns give him supernatural abilities, such as reading people’s deepest thoughts and seeing a person’s past when he touches them.

Review: “The Flash” keeps viewers hooked

There are a lot of things to talk about in this week’s episode, which, despite some minor flaws, stood out as the best episode of the season, so far. The focal point this week was Felicity Smoak, a character from CW sister show, “Arrow,” who took a trip to Central City to visit her friend, Barry.

Darkest Nights, and Sunrise

When I was younger, I watched the moon out of the car window. I gave him a face and body so he could run along, so he could keep up as we drove at fastball speed.
