The Shippensburg University Office of Inclusion, Belonging and Social Equity hosted a “Jeopardy” night led by Manuel Ruiz, assistant vice president for inclusion, belonging and social equity, on March 30 in McFeeley’s Café.
The event brought students together for trivia on music, sports, the university and more.
The grand prize was an Amazon Echo Spot. Merchandise from the Office of Inclusion, Belonging and Social Equity was also handed out to attendees.
Jack Weaver, a staff member for the office and a senior communication, journalism and media major, finds purpose in planning these campus community events.
“It was just to bring students together, especially after spring break, to try to keep up student interaction on campus because people, you know, at this point, they might get very stressed out with all their work they have to do,” Weaver said. “It’s just fun to play games with people that you might not know, so it’s fun to meet people.”
The Office of Inclusion, Belonging and Social Equity hopes to plan more events in the future.
