Police reports from Jan. 17 indicated the break-in happened through an unsecured door.

Multiple administrative offices within Old Main were burglarized in the early hours of Jan. 17, according to Shippensburg University police documents.

At 4:57 a.m., SU police responded to reports of Old Main Door 11, the entrance closest to the Admissions Welcome Center, being unsecured.

SU’s police blotter shows multiple follow-up visits to Old Main throughout the morning of Jan 17.

At 7:44 a.m., police noted a burglary in “multiple offices,” but no specific rooms or offices were listed.

At 10:48 a.m., police recorded a “money theft” in Old Main 113C, an admissions counselor office within the Welcome Center. No details were noted of how much was taken or how the theft was discovered.

At 11:09 p.m. on Jan. 17, SU police conducted a walk-through of Old Main, which did not occur in the several nights leading up to the theft, according to police documents.

SU Communications said the investigation is ongoing and could not provide further details.
