Three of four suspects taken into custody after a burglary at the Theta Xi fraternity house will appear at a formal arraignment after waiving their right to a preliminary hearing on Feb. 19.

Leevon Plank, 20, Jishaun Statum, 19, and Nyson Keepler, 20, appeared in District Court in Shippensburg on Wednesday morning after being detained on Feb. 8.

Plank and Keepler individually filed to waive their preliminary hearing, while Statum filed through Cumberland County public defender Maya Schacker.

All men face charges of felony robbery, felony burglary and criminal trespassing, among several others. Keepler also faces weapons charges including felony prohibited possession of a firearm.

At 5 a.m. on Feb. 8, state police responded  to the Theta Xi house at 42 Sunbeam Court and spoke with a member of the fraternity, who detailed the men allegedly “kicking and punching at his back door,” police records say.

The victim reported a Skytech Gaming PC, an Xbox One console, Airpod Pros and a MacBook Pro stolen from his bedroom, and later that morning, the MacBook pinged at a home in Chambersburg, where Keepler and Plank were located and detained.

Plank, Statum and Keepler have a formal arraignment set for April 28 at 8:30 a.m.

The fourth suspect allegedly involved in the burglary, Carter Brindle, has a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 12 at 8:30 a.m.
