Shippensburg University’s women’s soccer team fell to the Bloomsburg Huskies on Wednesday afternoon, 3-0.

The team’s season record moves to 2-6-2.

The Huskies netted three goals with only six shots on target. The first goal was scored at 33 minutes, and the next two goals were found in the last 10 minutes of the contest.

Shippensburg had five shots on goal, including two from freshman Lannah Werynski and sophomore Gabrielle Walker; however, the Raiders were not able to find the back of the net.

Defensively, junior Sammy Lerario denied the Huskies a goal toward the end of the first half with a timely block, and sophomore goalkeeper Kirstin Brown was credited with three saves.

The Raiders look to bounce back next week as they will face West Chester at home on Wednesday and Kutztown away on Saturday.
