The Student Government Association’s Budget & Finance Committee issued a hard deadline for student groups that are eligible to request an operating budget for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. This means that any operating budget turned in after the deadline of Jan. 29 by 4 p.m. in CUB 204 will not be reviewed for budget consideration.

The Budget & Finance Committee has asked student groups to fill out their operating budget requests on a provided physical document. The budget request form can also be found on the SGA website under the “Student Group Resources” tab, or can be picked up in the SUSSI office, CUB 204. The budget requests are required to be handed in physically to the SUSSI office no later than the deadline of Jan. 29, at 4 p.m.

Similarly to the 2023-2024 budget requests, student groups are required to provide written justification for each of their budget items. Groups that do not provide justification will not have their budget request reviewed for their 2024-2025 operating budget request.

In order to assist student group officers, the Budget & Finance Committee members are holding open hours to answer any questions and aid the officers in any budget related questions. On Sunday, January 21, these hours and a reminder of the budget request deadline was sent out to student group officers.

For any questions relating to the 2024-2025 operating budget process, reach out to Vice President of Finance Katie Huston at sgavpfinance@ship.edu, or Kimberly Rockwell at KARockwell@ship.edu.
