Did you buy bananas from Walmart that went bad before you could bring yourself to eat them? For under $10, you can turn that mushy fruit into a delicious bread.

Yields one loaf

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

¾ cup brown sugar

¼ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ cup butter

2 eggs

2-3 overripe bananas (Use more for denser bread)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine flour, brown sugar, baking soda and salt in a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine butter, eggs and overripe bananas. Use your hands to mush wet ingredients until well combined, or a hand mixer if your dorm is fancy. Pour banana mixture into dry ingredients and mix until fully combined.

Pour batter into greased and floured pans. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes. Let cool for five minutes in tins and then remove to fully cool and enjoy.
