The Raiders failed to score a point besides forfeits in the matches against No. 6 Gannon and No. 19 Mercyhurst Universities.

The Shippensburg Wrestling team hosted nationally ranked No. 19 Mercyhurst and No. 6 Gannon on Saturday afternoon at Heiges Field House. The Raiders fell to both teams during the meet. 

In the first matchup the Raiders were bested by the Lakers 46-0. The Raiders were forced to forfeit three weight classes in the match. The Lakers dominated the other weight classes.  

The Lakers shut out the Raiders in the 141-pound weight class and the 174-pound weight class. Sophomore Jon Bachar was pinned in the 165-pound weight class. In the 284-pound weight class redshirt-sophomore Danny Scheib was pinned by Jacob Robb. Robb Was ranked #4 in the country. 

In the second match Shipensburg took on Gannon. The Golden Knights shutdown the Raiders limiting them to eleven points. All those eleven points came from forfeits. The Raiders had to forfeit multiple weight class of their own.  

With the losses the Raiders fell to the Golden Knights 47-11.

The Raiders conclude their regular season schedule on Friday, February 11, as they host Kutztown University at Heiges Field House at 7.pm.
