Championship debuts do not get much better than what JC Greenwood and Michaela Hersh produced in last week's PSAC Swimming Championships at the Graham Aquatic Center (York YMCA). The freshman duo combined for seven All-PSAC swims, Greenwood claiming four and Hersh three.

Greenwood notched his first collegiate conference-title swim in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 16:23.34. He also out-touched most of the field in the 500 and 1,000 free for second-place marks and rallied with his teammates for bronze in the 200 free relay.

Hersh's top navigation of the pool came in the 400 individual medley where she reached silver stature, clocking a time of 4:33.30. She returned to All-PSAC form in the 200 butterfly (third place) and contributed to the team's bronze medal swim in the 800 free relay.

Both swimmers were major factors in the their teams' respective finishes, the men taking home second and the women garnering third overall.
