Raider of the Week: Hannah Marsteller

Shippensburg University sophomore Hannah Marsteller continued her historic pace to the 2021 season last week, capping the week off with another record broken: a 15 home run season. Marsteller's 15 big flies bested the previous season feat of 12 home runs, held by Nicole Henninger and Taylor Weisman. Henninger reached the total in 2007 and Weisman, in 2014.

In addition to the new milestone, Marsteller completed her week by going 11-for-17 at the dish, sprinkled in five home runs and added 12 RBIs, her season total now sitting at 46. To compliment the barrage of hitting, Marsteller crossed home plate on seven occasions. She did this across six games, a doubleheader against Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and a four-game series versus No. 23 Kutztown University.

And if all that was not enough, Marsteller roped in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Softball Athlete of the Week honors. It was her second appearance on the PSAC player of the week board this season.
