Inside each of us is a sunburst of positivity, just waiting to break out. Follow these tips on your journey to becoming the best, most positive you!

1. Say Hi to a Stranger

You must pass a thousand people through the week. These are perfect opportunities to spread some positivity. Say hello to someone you don’t know. Give a friendly wave to a stranger. Tell someone you like their t-shirt! Not only will this instantly improve your day, but it will influence someone else’s as well. Be the influence.

2. Cut the Dead Weight

Nothing will bring you down more than being around people who don’t have a positive impact on your life. The hardest thing you will have to do on your journey to being the best you is admit to yourself that some people and activities might be causing more harm than good. Remember: your positive life comes first. Always remind yourself that you deserve the best, most positive life.

3. Get Out of Town

Being cooped up can be dangerous to the positive lifestyle. Good news – now is the best time to get out of town for a few hours. Take a weekend trip with some friends. Go home and spend time with your pets. Find a nice spot by a lake for a picnic with your boyfriend or girlfriend. With Fall in full swing, there is no better time to get out and enjoy the outdoors. Getting out will reenergize you for the dreaded Monday morning.

4. Morning Motivators

The hardest thing to do in the morning is find the motivation to tackle the day’s activities. The solution? Find a quote or a piece of artwork to motivate you. Listen to a short inspirational video on YouTube. Put on a song that gets your blood pumping. And don’t forget to share it with your friends!

5. Memories in a Bottle

This one will take a little time, but the results are worth it. Write down one hundred happy memories you have. They don’t have to be long! Place them all in a decorated jar and keep the jar on your nightstand or your desk at work. Remembering a moment where you felt happy and cheerful will work wonders on a rainy day.

Stay positive!
