It is another week of Fantasy Football. It is time for another week of hard decisions and a bunch of regret, sounds like a Saturday night for most of us. I can say that my matchups were up and down but hung in there. I hope you other fantasy owners can say the same. Also if you had a Thomas on the Denver Broncos I am sure he helped you get a win last week. Alright let us get to what you really want to see. Here are my top picks of Week 6 of the NFL.

Top 5 Starters for Week 6

Matt Ryan – Fantasy Start of the Week
There have been plenty of disappointments this season but Matt Ryan has not been one. This season Ryan has been phenomenal racking up over 1400 yards and 13 Touchdowns. His matchup with the Chicago Bears is intriguing because I think this game will be an offensive explosion. I think both QBs will have an explosive game but Ryan will do the most with the offense he has. Julio Jones looks better than ever. Devin Hester has emerged has a playmaker on the offensive side of the ball. Roddy White is still showing he can play at an adequate level. Even Steven Jackson adds a dimension to the mix of an already solid offense.

Philip Rivers
I will have to admit I am not a Philip Rivers fan but he has been playing well his over the first five weeks of the season. He has particularly been playing well against weaker defenses much like the Raiders he faces on Sunday. In week 2 he threw 3 TD passes on the reigning super bowl champs Seattle Seahawks without a turnover. Rivers seems to be in the lead to win the MVP award this years if he keeps up his fantastic play. Whoever Rivers is throwing the ball to he knows how to get it to them.

Victor Cruz
Victor Cruz is playing against the Philadelphia Eagles. If that statement does not get your mouth watering then you have not been paying attention the last four years. When Cruz plays the Eagles he has a total of 34 receptions, 533 yards, and 5 Touchdowns over 3 seasons. As you can see Cruz comes to play whenever he plays against the Eagles. It also helps that Eli Manning is playing good football again. The Eagles secondary was exposed by QB Austin Davis giving up 375 yards and three touchdowns. I would expect the same to happen when the Giants head to Philly.

Frank Gore
There have been a lot of questions about Gore and his production this season. To many he is one of the most efficient running back in the NFL. He has had a solid season so far racking up 365 yards on the ground. He plays against the St. Louis Rams who gives up an average of 152.5 rushing yards per game. Gore is only 31 years old so do not count him out yet I have feeling he has a lot left in the tank.

Larry Fitzgerald
If you drafted Larry Fitzgerald this year then you must feel a little disappointed. Well this is the week you do not feel disappointed. Fitzgerald will finally show us why we all drafted him so high and actually produce more than 5 points. If you need to know why, he is playing the Washington Redskins. The Redskins look like they could not stop dehydration with a jug of Gatorade. The Redskins are without their best cornerback in DeAngelo Hall and the defense has had trouble stopping the pass all season. If Carson Palmer returns to action in week 6 then that would warrant some heavy targets to Fitzgerald and a good game against the Redskins.

Top 5 Players to Sit for Week 6

Doug Martin – Fantasy Sit of the Week
I had high hopes for Martin when he came into the season. He has two real weeks on the field this season. He has not accumulated a lot of yards with the amount of carries he has been given. I do not think the trend will change when he plays the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens do not have the same defense they had a couple of years ago but it is still formidable. The Ravens have given up just three touchdowns on the ground and an average of 89.4 yards per game. If you need Doug Martin in your lineup then keep him there. If you do not need him then I would sit him until he gets his act together.

Andre Johnson
I hate to say it but Andre Johnson is old and probably washed up. It was apparent at the beginning of the season that he did not want to play for the Texans. I guess that he is showing that he does not want play for them anymore by not playing for them. The last three weeks Johnson has looked like a shell of his former self. This week Johnson will most likely have to contend with Indianapolis Colts cornerback Vontae Davis, a well-known shutdown corner. Johnson’s chemistry with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick may be another source of his lack of success.

Brian Quick
Brian Quick had a very nice game against the Philadelphia Eagles. But sadly he does not play against the Eagles every week. He plays the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. The 49ers are the 7th best defense at stopping the pass. The defense gives up an average of 209 per game. Historically Quick has not had great games against the 49ers. In the 2013 season he had a total of 53 yards and one touchdown in 2 games.

Alfred Morris
I know this is the sitting players list but I am not saying to sit Morris. I am saying to be aware that the Arizona Cardinals have a very good run defense. They are a top 5 run defense giving up on average 76.8 rushing yards per game. The longest run the cardinals have given up was 20 yards.

Brian Hoyer
Hoyer has not been a bad quarterback this season. After beating out Heisman trophy winning quarterback Johnny Manziel in the preseason he has shown that he rightfully earned the starting QB job. He even rallied last week to defeat the Tennessee Titans in a come from behind win. I just do not think he will have the same success against a division rival like the Steelers. In week 1 the Steelers sacked Hoyer 3 times and held him to 222 passing yards and one touchdown. Hoyer had the assistance of the run game to help him out but the Steelers have had time to prepare and figured out ways to neutralize their running backs.
