The Lady Raiders out shot the Golden Bears 14-12 Saturday night at David See Field en route to a 1-0 victory.

Although the teams combined for 26 shots on goal, the defenses thrived as both teams had trouble putting together quality shots.

The Raiders (1-1-1) have had success in their last 10 overtime games, recording a 6-1-3 record.
In the first half SU registered four shots on goal, and Kutztown (2-2) had just one. In the second half each team tallied nine shots on goal, but only five of these were on target.

The Lady Raiders edged the Golden Bears in corner kicks 7-3, with three coming in the first half.
The lone goal of the game came four minutes into overtime. Freshman Jenny Litz blasted a shot from 18 yards out over the reach of Kutztown goalkeeper Deanna Messner.

Senior Brooke Clippinger recorded two shots on goal. Junior Kaila Dautrich and sophomore Stephanie Allshouse each had a shot a piece on goal.

Freshman Goalkeeper Kayla Kennedy recorded her second shutout of the season, picking up three saves on the night.

Shippensburg plays Mansfield on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at David See Field. Mansfield (0-4) lost last week 0-1 against East Stroudsburg on a goal in the 62nd minute.
