Hello Fantasy Owners it was wild week 3 in the NFL with a lot of points scored, plenty of brawling going on, and some crazy finishes. I hope your Week 3 matchups went well and if it didn’t that’s why we have week 4. So let’s get to the top five players you should have in and take out of your line up.
Top 5 Starters for Week 4
Jimmy Graham: Fantasy Start of the Week
Graham didn’t put up the numbers we all thought he would in week 3. I think he will find much more success against the Cowboys defense. The Cowboys have given up at least one touchdown to a Tight End in every game so far this season.
Colin Kaepernick
Kaepernick’s numbers have been solid on the season even his game against the Bears he threw for over 240 yards. He will have plenty of opportunities to sling the ball against Philadelphia’s secondary that surrendered 427 yards and 3 touchdowns to QB Kirk Cousins. Kaep will also have his mobility to add to the mix and rack up some good fantasy points.
Eddie Lacy
I think we all can agree it’s about time for Lacy to have a breakout game this season. His first three games this season were pitiful. The reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year has a good matchup against the Chicago Bears this week. The Bears were the worst team at defending the rush last season. Not to mention Lacy averaged 108 rushing yards in his two outings against the Bears last season. I look for him to have bounce back game to rejuvenate his already disappointing season.
Antonio Brown
Antonio Brown is so athletic I think he’s going to score every time the ball touches his hands. He can get open anywhere as evidence by his game against the Panthers. The Buccaneer’s Defense has given up the most points in the league at 95, 20 more than the second ranked team of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The way Tampa Bay played defense Thursday night I would look for Brown to have a pretty decent game.
Keenan Allen
Allen hasn’t looked all that spectacular this season but a matchup against Jacksonville can change that. Jacksonville has not been able to stop the pass all season and Allen could benefit against such a weak secondary. They have given up the second most points in the NFL.
Matt Asiata – Fantasy Sit of the Week
Asiata hasn’t lived up to the running game that Minnesota has been used to. Filling Adrian Peterson’s shoes is not easy and it will be hard facing the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons will make it a high scoring game and I doubt the Viking will be able to keep up with the Running game. Atlanta was able to keep Bobby Rainey in check during their blowout of Tampa Bay.
Joe Flacco
Flacco does not look all that sharp this season except for when he throwing to Steve Smith Sr. A game against Smith’s former team will be tough to overcome. The Panthers like to get after Quarterbacks and Flacco does not have a very strong offensive line and an up and down running game.
New York Jet’s Running Backs
The tandem of Chris Johnson and Chris Ivory has been a nice change of pace in New York. I think there formula will be cracked when they get a visit from the Detroit Lions. Both teams have good run defenses but the combination of Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley will keep these running backs in check. The Loins come into the matchup with the second best run defense and will look to continue that trend.
Tom Brady
Brady has not looked like his old reliable self in weeks past. Going up against Kansas City Chiefs will give Brady a challenge. He will have to trust his weapons and not turn the ball over. Kansas City will try to make him uncomfortable.
Reggie Bush
Bush has looked good these first three weeks but I don’t think that will continue facing the Jets. The Jets boast a very good defensive line that is good at stuffing the run. They are the number one team at shutting down the run. Bush can make plays in the passing game but I expect the Jets to take him out of the running game.
