The Shippensburg University women’s soccer team had its five-game winning streak snapped by California University of Pennsylvania on Wednesday night when the Raiders dropped the game, 1-0.

The Vulcans dominated the first half and recorded four shots, one of which was on goal, compared to the Raiders’ zero. SU goalkeeper Shelbie Rackley managed to save the lone shot.

Rackley recorded seven saves during the game.

The score stayed at zero until the 86th minute when Cal’s Haley Henderson collected her own rebound and found the back of net, giving the Vulcans the only score of the game.

The Raiders had one more opportunity when Kate Zech took a shot, but the ball sailed over the goal.

Zech recorded both Raider shots.

SU will look to rebound when it hosts Slippery Rock University for its final game of the regular season. The game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2.
