The Shippensburg University volleyball team continued to dominate the PSAC East division with a victory over the Millersville Marauders in three sets 25–17, 26–24 and 27–25.

The wins bring the Raiders’ record to 11–6 overall and 4–3 in the PSAC East.

Both teams were closely contested, especially in the second and third sets, where extra points were needed. SU battled through and won both sets.

In the match, there were 28 tied scores and 11 lead changes.

Even though SU hit only .094 as a team, the defense held MU to an even lower hitting percentage of .054.

Gabbie Holt hit .348 in the match and led both teams with 11 kills, one ace and two blocks.

Maura Nolan continued her great play at setter, adding 29 assists to her season total.

Maria Peluso led the Raiders with 15 digs in the match, which was a major part of the low hitting percentage for MU.

SU will have two more away matches before it returns home again. The next matches will be on Oct. 11, when the Raiders travel to East Stroudsburg University to take the court against the Warriors and Oct. 12, when they travel to Kutztown University to take on the Golden Bears.
