The Shippensburg girl’s intramural flag football spring semester playoffs are taking place this weekend at the recreation fields on campus.

There are five teams in the playoffs out of the seven in the league. The first games will be played on Thursday at 5 and 6 p.m.

The league is set up where each team has a coach and there are nine players on the field for each team, along with two referees.

The Fembots are the No. 2 seed and will be making their sixth playoff appearance out of the last six seasons. They have lost in the championship twice, but have never been able to break through.

“We have the best team that we have put together since the start of Fembots, so anything less than a championship would be a disappointment,” Fembots head coach Jimmy Reilly said.

Pink Balls is the No. 1 seed and the favorite to win with a 7-1 record. Last season Balls Deep and Pink Murder were two of the top teams in the league. This season they decided to join together to make an even better team.
