The Shippensburg University RaiderFest is a university and community celebration by the Activities Program Board (APB).

The event is on April 28. It will start at 1 p.m. and go until 7 p.m.  SU students will receive one free ticket.  Tickets are $3 for those students after the first free one with an SU ID. Tickets are $5 for the public.

RaiderFest donates all of the proceeds to charity for the Better Days Animal League.  This is a way for SU and the community to give back to charity.

The Better Days Animal League is a non-profit organization that rescues animals.  It is located in Shippensburg.  The animal shelter needs donations to stay running.  Local government and other organizations help to assist the animal shelter with resources as well.

The Better Days Animal League was established in the summer of 2007.  Since its beginning, the animal shelter has helped and saved numerous animals.  It finds homes for animals that are in need.

The Better Days Animal League’s mission is to act as a voice for animals. The organization is dedicated to the principle that all life must be treated with value, dignity, and respect.

It stands to represent animals’ rights.  It acts to prevent animal abuse and neglect through education on how to properly and responsibly care for animals.

The Better Days Animal League also promotes public awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering in order to prevent the problems the shelter frequently deals with.

The organization’s ultimate goal is to promote kindness and responsibility with animals and provide them with sufficient homes.
