The Shippensburg University football team got off to a great start against Gannon University, putting 14 points up in the first quarter before being held in check the rest of the way in a 24–20 loss at Seth Grove Stadium.

Men’s soccer splits week of action

It was a hot, messy game on Saturday as Shippensburg University took on Slippery Rock University in a PSAC division soccer match. The Raiders were riding their own wave of momentum after beating Holy Family University on Wednesday by a score of 4-1.

Wentz makes regular-season debut

“I was laying in the middle of a cornfield hunting geese when I got the call,” said Carson Wentz during a press conference on Sept. 5. The call was when he was named the starting quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Field hockey stays undefeated

Shippensburg University women’s field hockey put on a show in its home opener, dominating Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponent Mansfield University, 5-0.

SU field hockey breaks into the season with three straight wins

The Raiders have taken the season by storm, outscoring opponents 10-1 throughout the first three games of the season. SU began the season winning a tightly contested match against Messiah College, 1-0 in overtime on a goal by senior Katelyn Grazan. SU beat Messiah last season in a similar fashion, winning in overtime 1-0.

SU Women’s soccer splits first two games

On Thursday, Sept. 1, California University of Pennsylvania sent its women’s soccer team to David See Field to take on Shippensburg University in the 2016 home opener for the Raiders.

Raiders sting Yellow Jackets 16-9, earn 500th win

It was not pretty, but in the end the Shippensburg University football team got the best of American International College, stinging the Yellow Jackets, 16-9. The win marked SU’s 500th in school history. The Raiders started playing football in 1891.

With spring practices a thing of the past, the Shippensburg University football team has come into the 2016 fall camp with energy and determination to improve on last year’s 8-3 campaign.

SU swimming dives into another season

With a new school year brings new athletes and yet another season for the fall sports teams. After a successful 2015-2016 season, the Shippensburg University men’s and women’s swim teams are looking to make even bigger waves in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) this fall and winter season.
