SU Lacrosse travels to Slippery Rock

The Shippensburg University women’s lacrosse team traveled to Slippery Rock University on Saturday, April 23, to take on The Rock in PSAC action. The Raiders battled through two halves, scoring seven goals to Slippery Rock’s 11 at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.

SU men’s track and field dominates home meet

With 285 points, the Shippensburg University men’s outdoor track-and-field team blew past the competition on Wednesday evening, taking first-place at Seth Grove Stadium. Both the men’s and women’s outdoor track-and-field teams are reigning Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champions, so the victories over PSAC rivals West Chester University and Seton Hill University are especially sweet. There were several performances in particular that highlighted the evening for the Raiders. The SU men’s team took first-place in 12 out of the 16 events, in which it competed in on Wednesday, which led to its dominating win. “Well, I think we all love running on our home track.

Boxing club punches out opponents

With the boxing season coming to an end, Shippensburg University’s boxing club has had a strong season, with two members of the team competing at nationals. Brett Pastore and Tylik Guilford competed at the National Collegiate Boxing Association Championships in Seattle, Washington, April 7–9.

An emotional weekend at Robb Sports Complex wrapped up a memorable 2016 softball campaign for the Shippensburg University Raiders. The Raiders concluded the road portion of its schedule with a Thursday doubleheader in West Chester.

SU Tennis drops match to PSAC foe Millersville

The Shippensburg University women’s tennis squad traveled to Millersville University to take on the Marauders at McComsey Tennis Courts on Saturday, April 16. The Raiders were unsuccessful in defeating the PSAC East opponent, as they lost 9-0. The loss is the 10th thus far for the Shippensburg tennis team, as they slide down to 1-5 in the PSAC East. SU — although suffering the tough defeat — was successful in winning one game at No.1 doubles.

Megan Lundy earns second PSAC Top 10 award

They say college is a blur full of memories that last a lifetime. Shippensburg University senior Megan Lundy sprinted her way through campus while maintaining a 4.0 cumulative GPA and winning two PSAC Top 10 awards. On Wednesday, Lundy was nominated for the 2015-2016 PSAC Winter Top 10 award for women’s indoor track and field.

Shippensburg picks up four key wins

The Shippensburg University baseball team was not perfect last week, but it sure was close. The Raiders offense was on full display in its five-game slate, as the squad put itself in playoff position, and secured its first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division series win of the year.

Danny Willett’s first win on the PGA tour

Danny Willett was not expected to even show up to the Masters this week, as he was the last person to register for the tournament, Willett, 28, walked off the 18th hole fairway as a Masters Champion and as a new father.
