Shippensburg University’s wrestling team lost against the Millersville Marauders in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) dual meet on Monday, 45-6.

The Raiders earned six points due to a pin from sophomore Kyler Everly at 157 pounds. Despite suffering an initial takedown, Everly rebounded against his opponent Eli Tuckey after reversing out bottom and scoring a pin.

Freshman Eli Bounds came close to his second consecutive PSAC dual meet win at 141 pounds. After the first three minutes, Bounds dominated Millersville's Aidan Micheli 6-1 due to two takedowns in the first period. Late in the match, Micheli made a five-point move that significantly narrowed the score. With 20 seconds left, Micheli secured the winning takedown to win the fight 10–9.

Shippensburg had to forfeit the first weight class 125 pounds, giving the Marauders their initial lead. The Raiders came up short and could not close the gap.

Coming up, the Raiders will be facing No. 11 Pitt-Johnstown on Thursday, Feb. 22.
