Shippensburg University graduate Kyle Lysy tossed quite the game Friday against Thomas Jefferson University. Lysy worked a full seven innings, piecing together a complete game, a standard for this season.

Lysy did not allow an earned run (two unearned), scattered three hits and struck out eight. The performance was good enough for his second win of the season, bringing his record to 2-2.

The Game 1 outing Friday improved Lysy's season stat-line in a multitude of ways. The complete game was the first of his season, boosting his ERA to a 2.76 through five starts, matching his average from his shortened 2020 campaign in which he also saw five nods on the bump. Lysy's eight knee-buckles Friday also served as his third appearance with at least eight strikeouts this season.
