There are only a few more days to donate books for the 34th Annual Friends of Legal Services Book Sale. The book drive, which started in February, ends on Sunday, April 15. Book donation sites throughout the area are listed at www.fcls.net, or donors can call Franklin County Legal Services at (717) 262-2326 to find the closest site.

The group welcomes books of all types, used and new, hardback and paperback, but also artwork, CDs (including audio books), DVDs, sheet music, puzzles, and board games. Encyclopedias, textbooks, cassettes, and VHS tapes (except Disney) are not accepted.

The sale will take place May 18-20 in Laird Hall on the Wilson College campus in Chambersburg. It is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 18, from 9 a.m.  to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 20. Proceeds help provide access to legal services for local low-income families in our area.

“We want to thank the many businesses and offices that have served as donation sites once again for this wonderful community event,” said Gloria Keener, Executive Director of Franklin County Legal Services. F&M Trust, M&T Bank, Orrstown Bank, DiLoreto, Cosentino & Bolinger, P.C., and the Law Office of Anne M. Shepard, LLC, are sponsors of the sale, having provided generous financial support for it.
