Harley Hall resident charged with underage drinking

Samuel G. Kelk, 18, of Harley Hall, was charged with underage drinking in connection  with an incident that occurred on Feb. 18.

An SU officer on patrol in the Shippen Hall parking lot observed Kelk walking on the sidewalk and he seemed to be having difficulty and may be intoxicated.

The officer stopped Kelk to check on his welfare and found him to be intoxicated. Kelk showed obvious signs of intoxication, admitted to consuming alcohol and was given a portable breath test which tested positive for the presence of alcohol in his system.

Kelk was released to his residence hall, and a citation was later filed charging him with underage drinking.
